-History Lesson: The people on the frontier of Gonzales Texas were given by the Mexican army a single, six pounder ball cannon to defend its then population of just around 300 from attack.
However at a certain point a certain Col decided that wasn't a good idea anymore, demanding they return their cannon to the Mexican Army. Surrounded by a formation of Mexican dragoons keen on taking it back, the people of Gonzales hoisted the battle banner of "Come and take it".
They kept that single cannon...
